Veteran's Section

Wakefield Hockey Club is proud that it has a long standing history of entering the England Hockey Vets Cup competitions. It is less about serious hockey and more about the past ad current club members enjoying themselves and socialising together. Both the men's and ladies section's of the club enter the England Hockey Cup competitions. In recent years they have often ended up in the Plate competitions where it is more about having a laugh and few drinks than winning the games. 

The men's section enter the Over 50s competition, and the ladies' enter the over 35s competition.

Along with entering the masters cup competitions, Wakefield holds a past members day at the club every two years. It provides a great opportunity for all past and current members to socialise, tell stories and remember their playing years. The event was last held in 2010 and will be held again in 2012.
