Club Championship Finals to be Hosted at Wakefield

Wakefield Hockey Club are proud to host the U16 Tier 1 Club Championship Finals over Saturday and Sunday. In previous years the club has won the U16 Girls title 5 times so hosting this event again is an honour.

“We want everyone from spectators to players, coaches and officials to enjoy their time with us at Wakefield Hockey Club, and we have put measures in place to ensure everyone receives a warm “Wakey” welcome throughout the weekend” says Phillip Bootland our enthusiastic venue manager.

There will be the U16 girls and U16 boys championship games played over the two days but on Sunday afternoon only two teams, a boys team and a girls team can be crowned the Champions.

Teams from all over the country are travelling to Wakefield over the course of the two days including Repton, Canterbury, Cambridge and Alderley Edge and our helpful volunteers will be around all day to help and guide spectators to wherever they need to go.

The tournament commences at 9:00am Saturday and the finals will be held from 16:15 on Sunday and it would be great throughout the tournament to rally as many supporters and spectators as possible to come down.
